Erika Flynn, RMT
Erika is a graduate of The West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in Victoria. During her time at WCCMT she developed a deep interest in the nervous system and its ability to affect every other system in the body. She has found by helping people to calm down their nervous systems that other ailments seem to follow suit. She has found that this ultimately enhances the patient’s quality of life, a key goal for Erika with all her treatments. She is passionate about creating a space for people to relax and feel better in their bodies. Erika’s treatment approach is rooted in what the individual patient’s goals are. She creates an individualized treatment plan based on the goals of her patients as well as assessment findings. Her treatment tools include Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, passive and active stretching techniques, abdominal massage and more.
Erika also finds great value in educating her patients on homecare practices. This gives her patient’s autonomy over their own healing journey and is helpful is creating lasting change.
She has gained useful experience treating patients with many conditions including but not limited to : sports injuries, central nervous system conditions, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, plantar fasciitis, cancer, diabetes, sprain, strains, TOS, carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, tendonitis, TMJD, irritable bowel syndrome, and anxiety.
On her days off she can be found at a stable riding horses, hiking or on a mountain bike exploring trails.
Erika is excited to be joining the Moss Healthcare team and be working in the lovely Fairfield community.
